Veronica V. Jones is an illustrator and comic artist based in Northern Virginia. After years creating artwork for tabletop games, she began illustrating for children's books. She's worked on covers for several MG novels and illustrated the picture books MOONLIGHT CRAB COUNT, THE LIZARD LADY and BABY BEAR'S ADOPTION from Arbordale Publishing. Veronica also recently published MARCH WITH MARSHA with writer Katie Hall after a successful Kickstarter campaign. Currently she is working on her first graphic novel, OPERATION:ESCAPE VELOCITY which combines her deep nerd interests in engineering, space, and aliens.

Influenced by a lifetime of reading comic books, she uses challenging compositions, dynamic poses, and expressive faces to tell stories with her art. A love of detail adds depth and complexity to the worlds she creates. As a Latina, Veronica sees the world is filled with beautiful people of all backgrounds and she wants to share their stories.
