Alison Acton

Alison Acton is a Canadian artist with a background in comics and traditional animation. She's worked for studios like Spumco, Pocket Gems, and Big Jump, and publishers like Harper Collins, Tokyopop, and First Second. She loves creating expressive characters, writing snarky dialogue, jiu-jitsu, and long dog walks away from her three boys who always want to be in the office and shed Lego EVERYWHERE. She writes and draws the webcomic Bearnuts and designs t-shirts for fun. She and her husband, comic colourist Jim Charalampidis, founded Studio Dooomcat as a fun site for all their irreverent non work art. She's currently designing characters and props for TVO's Wolf Joe and Netflix's Trailer Park Boys.

Kira Brown is a story artist based in Los Angeles California. She started her career in storytelling from her love of anime and manga. After years of being a caricature artist and visual developer, Kira's love of visual storytelling expanded her career to storyboarding for television. Jim Kettner, but call him Kett, is a cartoonist, illustrator, podcaster, and part time comics professor. He grew up in Westchester, New York (home of the X-Men!) but sadly failed to develop any mutant powers. He studied Illustration and Cartooning at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and after years of punk rock adventures in Brooklyn and Philly, relocated to the west coast where he received my MFA in Writing from California College of the Arts in 2013. His work has appeared in print and on the web in places like Razorcake, SF Weekly, Maximum Rock N' Roll, Travel Portland, and the As You Were punk comix anthology. His first full length graphic novel collaboration with writer Lacy Davis, Ink In Water debuted October of 2017 from New Harbinger Publications.

Sam Soto is a latino Comic Artist based in the Pacific Northwest. His work is heavily influenced by his lifelong love of anime, manga, and fantasy novels. In 2019 he graduated with an MFA in Comics from the California College of the Arts. He's recently been published in SaturdayAM, a digital monthly manga anthology that focuses on showcasing diverse creators. Currently he's working on his first Graphic Novel with his brother Lucas. Ali has also designed shirts for bands, and likes to think they have good taste in merchandise from their time designing for/assisting the cutest Japanese store in L.A., "Neko Stop." They're deeply passionate about non-traditional fantasy in animation and video games, absurdist humor and slice of life stories with slight fantasy/sci-fi elements peppered in. They're enthralled by the delicate balance that makes something weird/ugly-cute and has extensive knowledge about bizarre sea creatures.
